The story

Vatic Pro is the brand that broke the price ceiling. It brought Toray T700 raw carbon fiber, foam-injected sidewalls and premium shape and weight characteristics to a strict sub-$100 price at a time when equivalent builds were selling for $250.

The Prism Flash in particular is the most widely recommended entry-to-intermediate paddle in the category, and it is a common reference point in "is the expensive one actually better" comparisons.

Shape decoder

Model / shapeCategoryDimensionsNotes
FlashHybrid~16.25 to 16.37" x 7.7"Faster in hand; the safer default recommendation
V7Elongated16.5" x 7.5"Higher swing weight (~120 to 128) and more plow-through

Both come in short-handle (5.3") and long-handle (5.5") variants, and 14mm / 16mm thicknesses depending on model.

Surface technologies

  • Raw Toray T700 carbon fiber · Uncoated and not spray-painted, so the texture holds up better than sprayed-grit budget paddles.
  • Proprietary composite face layer · On the Saga (carbon fiber, proprietary layer, carbon fiber).

Core technologies

  • Polymer honeycomb · 10mm cell, with foam-injected unibody walls.
  • Gen 1.5 construction · Edge foam without full thermoforming.
  • Cold molding · The Prism line uses cold molding rather than high-heat thermoforming; the Prism Flash was made for players who find thermoformed paddles too powerful.

Series and models

Prism Flash, Prism V7, Flash (original, thermoformed edges), Saga, Oni.

Warranty and support

1 year on core-related issues, 180 days on everything else.

Worth knowing

Reviewers consistently describe the Prism Flash as delivering JOOLA Hyperion-level control and spin at roughly a third of the price. Responds unusually well to lead tape at 3 and 9 o'clock for players who want more pop without giving up control.
