Standard Session Schedule

This is the roughly 50-minute format we run in a typical weekly session. It's a living plan — the “focus time” block changes based on what we're working on — but the overall flow is consistent: warm up, sharpen the hands, drill one thing, then compete.

  1. 7:00

    Warm-up — mid-court

Start around mid-court and work through drops, volleys, drives, and overheads to get loose and dialed in.

  2. 7:10

    Volleys

Move up and trade volleys — hand speed, resets, and control at the net.

  3. 7:20 – 7:40

    Focus time

The set block where we pick one area to work on and drill it — this is what rotates week to week (e.g. third-shot drops, dinks, or ready position).

  4. 7:40

    Serve & return

Reps on serves and returns — depth, placement, and consistency.

  5. 7:48

    7–11 competitive game

Finish with a short competitive game to 7 or 11 to put it all together under a little pressure.

Times are approximate — the point is the rhythm, not the clock.
